I don't think anyone is proclaiming Ruiz as anything he isn't. He is an awkward fighter who is hard to look good against unless you're David ****ing Tua. Your beloved Holyfield was decked by Jawny remeber and took three fights with him and never looked like winning clearly over this "cheating slug".

I have no doubt that Haye will beat Ruiz but don't expect him to look electric. I expect a struggle early only for Haye to take over, pull away and stop Ruiz late - if not take him the full twelve winning a decisive decision.

Should this happen then Haye has done his job and there is little to be critical of, although I expect some ESB residents to pick apart a winning performace. :yep

Now let me have your assessment of TerryESB?

Other than Ruiz there is Chambers, Arreola and Toney. Wow, just wow!

I ready gave my assessment - he's a Haye fan trying to pump up Ruiz so it seems like a more significant win that it really is.

Chambers is better, and so are Arreola and even Toney. Hell, Toney beat Ruiz! Tony Thompson is better, and in terms of skill, many other guys. Without the cheating, Ruiz is a high grade regional fighter, nothing more. If it wasn't for King, he'd have been lucky to win the NABF title.

The win isn't of much significance but it doesn't mean it's a walk in the park either.

Mr ESB is also a touch more realistic to know that if Ruiz were THAT bad, then Holyfield, Golota, Rahman and Oquendo would have knocked him the **** out.

Agreed with Tony Thompson being better as is Chambers. Arreola is a hype job and nothing more. He may have heart and be a come forward fight but that's about it.

Toney needed steriods if my memory serves me right.....

Again, Ruiz needed illegal holding tactics to "beat" all of those guys - as well as horrid gift decision against Golota, after getting decked twice and outlanded.

Toney beat Ruiz within the ropes going away. Steroids doesn't give you boxing ability, and Toney is light-years better than Ruiz in this department.

Again, without King to grease the wheels, this slug would never have "won" a fight above the journeyman level. The whole reason Ruiz holds excessively, fakes low blows and pulls other bull**** is he doesn't have the ability to win against these sorts of fighters within the rules.

Ruiz is a very clean fighter compared to the likes of Evander Holyfield.

Holyfield bent the rules occasionally, as a supplement to his obvious skill.

Ruiz blatantly broke them, because he had no skills.

    Big difference.

Holyfield would have never succeeded at heavyweight without the HGH.

the ONLY people on this forum that talk up John Ruiz are Glass Jaw Roy Jones and David Haye nuthuggers. That is a fact. They have a motive.

Do you think he is the only one who used HGH or whatever?

Golota let Ruiz back into the fight. That's his fault. I had Golota up 4-2 after 6 rounds plus the 2 KD's and point deduction. I thought Ruiz won the 2nd half of the fight. Some rounds were VERY close. Either way my card was 113-112 Ruiz or 113-112 Golota. Depends on what rounds were flipped.
