    Just plain ridiculous.

If the WBA was a serious organization they would order a tournament for the mandatory position, just like the one IBF did and Povetkin won.

    Meehan - Bidenko - Ruiz - K. Johnson.

As of now, not even #1 Meehan did enough to earn the mandatory right, but the winner of the tournament surely would be deserving.

at least have that joke Ruiz fight in an Eliminator for the Mandatory spot. He would probably lose so they would never do that.

    Ruiz is horrible.

How? In that case I'm decalaring myself the #2 contender and am going to fight the winner of Valuev/Chagaev just because I said so...

To be fair...a lot of people felt he beat Valuev twice. I personally thought he won the rematch.

Ruiz lost that fight clearly but it was close. It was actually a really good performance by John even in losing.

This shows how the WBA and WBC don't want their titles unified.

About a week ago the WBC made a statement saying that the winner of the V. Klitschko/JCG fight would take on Oleg Maskaev in a MANDATORY bout within 120 days.

Vitali more than any other fight wants to get the WBA strap.

The WBC however is making him jump through hoops.

Now the WBA are doing the same thing on the other side.

John keeps winning (except the controversial fights he keeps losing). Dont hate on him.

why bother having rankings if you are going to ignore them. stupid.

meehan has been waiting his turn and although the opposition was ordinary you have to reward winning form when the guy is no.1 contender ffs.

i mean **** even valuev was ducking meehan and not wanting to take the risk, that's how much of a mess this all is.

The WBA makes up the rules as they go along. Whatever suits them... just don't expect me to buy it.

Is he secretly having a relationship with the president of the WBA?

Because since they're both world champions they can't be in the WBA rankings. And is it destiny that Ruiz is going to be a 3 time world HW champ?

Ruiz lost close decisions to both Valuev and Chagaev. .........so I guess, as boring as it sounds, Ruiz does deserve this.

But I don't care to watch it, as it'll put me in a coma.
