Norman Stone is afraid of no man. He successfully took the belt away from Valuevs hands and ended up in a brawl over it, took cheapshots and didn't even blink. I think its safe to say, his whiskers are sturdier than those of Mr.Haye.:nono
Stone was the only reason I found Ruiz fights somewhat interesting. The guy loved his fighter, and would do anything for him. Wether it was getting decked by his oppenents cornermen or getting thrown out of the arena for calling the ref a ****ing *******, Norman Stone was there.
True, that was a scene hard to watch without laughing. Good ol Stoney running along the ring refusing to give the belt away to Valuev's people.
I can see this going along the lines of Roy Jones Jr. vs Ruiz. Haye will outpoint him by 4 or 5 rounds with potentially a knock out.
I agree but he is faster than Ruiz and will adopt the same tactics as RJJ did and will produce a similiar points result in my opinion. I also think if he lands clean on Ruiz he could at least knock him down if not out.
He definitely can do both, the problem with Ruiz is that he is adapting well himself to make fight ugly and diminish opponent skills, so someone who wants beat Ruiz must be an exceptional puncher (as Tua), smart and fast (as Jones) or exceptionally strong (as Valuev). The best option for Haye would be to try to knock him out early because as the fight will progress Haye's conditioning will not give him much chances in out-hugging Jonny.
A snowball has a better chance in hell. That glorified clubfighter is gonna get starched, and most boxing fans will be celebrating.
Stoney: "toney the phoney" J TOney "so is your mother *****" Stoney proceeds to lunge at toney in attack mode and has to be restrained that guy was great
