I do not think Ruiz has anything that will cause Bruno a doubt, so I can see a Bugner or Coetzer like beat down from The Bomber. It may get a bit edgy for Frank though if Ruiz is still going after ten.
Ruiz "more skilled?" At what? Excessive holding? Faking "low blows" like he did against Thunder, Holyfield, or Johnson?atsch Ruiz had all the skill of a high-grade clubfighter. His connections with Don King enabled him to get favorable treatment for his illegal and disgraceful tactics, and also get gift decisions like he did against Golota. Bruno, while not a great fighter, actually had legitimate boxing skills and he could crack. He wins this fight by decision - very wide if the rules are enforced against Ruiz's illegal tactics. Or maybe even by mid to late round KO if the refs actually keep Ruiz from violating the rules of this sport.
Ruiz was the Bernard Hopkins of heavyweights. He would find a way to win over the one-dimensional Bruno.
This is a tough one. I think Bruno has a decent shot of clubbing Ruiz out of there early I say anytime up until the 6th and I'd expect him for the most part to be getting the better of the fight up until that point. Should it go passed 6 I see Bruno tiring bad from Ruiz clinching style and Ruiz who'd be busted up from Bruno's jab would begin to take over and win rounds. Around the 10th I think Bruno would be completely exhausted and I'd give Ruiz a shot to club him out of there..... Pretty much 50/50 on this one.
I love Bruno, he got me into boxing. My hero. Over 8 rounds he schools Ruiz. Over 12 I just don't know. I think Ruiz stopped him late.
Ruiz was still a scrawny cruiserweight when Tua stopped him. Had they fought later on in their careers I'd give Ruiz a good chance at smothering and decisioning Tua.
Do yourself and me a favour, and read the first line again in the context in which it was written. I have NOTHING but admiration for Frank, but the cold hard facts are he had no NATURAL ability but he had the heart and commitment of 10 Lions.
