I'd pick Ruiz. He has stunk out a lot of joints but he is a battle tested, tough fighter. He has fought top competition and done very well. Of course Tua over powered him and Jones and Toney outslicked him but no one has dominated him in any other fight. I thought he deserved the nods in his bouts with Chagaev and Valuev and at 36 is in his physical prime and stronger than he's ever been.
Ruiz doesn't struggle with big ordinary heavyweights like McCline.:smoke :smoke

I am of another opinion, I feel that McCline has the tools(physically) to beat Ruiz. His main problem has always been mental preparedness. I can still remember when he was on a roll back then, beating guys like Grant, Goofi, among others. He was picked even-money on the Wlad fight, but he froze, failed to do anything then got KO'd, probably spooked by Wlad's rep.

If he's well prepared both mentally and physically, he can beat Ruiz by jabs alone. But then again, if he freezes, Ruiz can literally stop him.

In his last fight Ruiz did a bit more than play huggybear. Who knows, maybe he could beat McCline?

I think the former world champion and most boring heavyweight ever defeats choke-artist McCline.

    :rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl

Puh-leez, other than a premature stoppage over shaky-chinned fringe contender Fres Oquendo, Ruiz has NEVER KOd a world class fighter since King manuevered him into the ratings.

Why should that be such a surprise? Ruiz has all the ability of a regional fighter, and would never have sniffed the ratins - or gotten away with all his illegal shennanigans - if he hadn't signed with King.

If McCline has anything left, and the rules are ENFORCED against Ruiz, he will win, either by UD or late TKO.:yep

Ruiz is going to beat down McCline. McCline can't win the big fight, and I think Ruiz can really beat his ass.

Ruiz by late TKO, you heard it here first.

Again, look at his record - there is NOTHING in it that would indicate that he would stop McCline, or that his punching power approaches that of even a Leotis Martin. I repeat, outside of a premature stoppage against a shaky-chinned fringe contender he has NEVER stopped anything above a journeyman or tomato can.

Ruiz may cheat his way to "victory" yet again, but I would bet my HOUSE that he WILL NOT stop McCline. The only guys to stop McCline, other than his freak injury against Valuev, have been proven punchers like Wlad Klitschko or hard-hitting fringe contender Gary Bell.

lmfao Zakman you also claimed that Vasilly Jirov would beat ruiz 1 month ago. Ruiz would beat the crap out of McCline for 12 rounds. In a partial sleep fest, but not so much a sleeper.
It would be a cool fight.

I don't recall saying that, but Jirov certainly COULD beat Ruiz, IF the rules were enforced. Jirov is a true world-class fighter, faded a bit certainly - but FAR more talented that Ruiz, which is why Ruiz HAS to cheat to win.

If this fight is fought WITHIN the rules, McCline will win, and clearly.
