Good fight, but I think Tyson knocks him out. He was still Ferocious in the year 2000.

What’s really messed up is John might octopus him if he doesn’t show up… that’d be horrible, I hate this match up let him fight “Big” James instead.

In 2000 Ruiz practically defeated Holyfield which Tyson was unable to do 3 years earlier. Tyson aged much faster than Holyfield, in 2000 the difference will be even greater. Style makes the fight but I think John would win very easily, easier than you think and certainly ahead of schedule

Tyson blows his spinal out early.. Johnny was too hittable and Mike still whacked even then

Do not like Ruiz constantly wading into to this guys power. The Trevor Berbick wade in style is better against boxer types than the hitters. There's a reason why Clevor Trevor and Ruiz did not fight many hitters. When they did, what happened?

Ruiz would be quite a tough guy to beat for Mike... Mike was a little lazy in those days if the guy wanted to spoil the fight, I mean, not even in those days, Tyson always got too confortable when the guy was a spoiler...

If the odds were good, I would put some money on Ruiz here.
