Being ahead on the cards after 12 against Maxim in boiling heat is probably good enough to beat Ruiz in 65 degrees.

Fair enough but Ruiz was a relatively svelte 226 lbs when he fought Jones, misguidedly looking for greater movement and speed to “box” with Roy.

Also, do we get to “pump” up Walker Smith Jr. - to morph him into Sugar “Roid” Robinson? What an insane, raging beast he would be.

 

I’m glad the subtle skills of the Quiet Man are receiving their just dues.

So subtle, barely anyone noticed or appreciated them - only a very small minority, with acutely trained eyes properly understood the genius of the man.

Almost as bad but no quite is the gross underrating of the true GOAT, Ingemar Johannson.

We must forgive the unenlightened though, for they know not what they don’t know.
