Briggs wouldn't pull a Tua on Ruiz, not explosive enough.

    Ruiz UD..

At least Ruiz beat Holyfield when Holy still had something left, that's more than I can say for Briggs..

If the rules are properly enforced Ruiz loses, probably by KO. Ruiz never won a fight against decent opposition when the rules were enforced.

Ruiz is one of the worst beltholders of all time. A total fraud. Without King to grease the wheels for his illegal tactics, no one would have ever heard of him after Tua starched him.

Ruiz wins in extremely boring fight. No knockdowns in a fight full of clinches.

I don't know if any version of Holyfield loses to Briggs, tbh - except maybe the one that nearly got KTFO by Tank Williams. He was decrepit by then.

Wish Ruiz would come back, this could still happen.

Eh, it's been over five years since Haye retired him, and Ruiz didn't look all that hot that night, down multiple times..

    He's 43. :!:

He has untapped potential. Thw Haye fight was an aberration. One of the greatest underachievers this or any sport has known.

I really like Briggs in this. and I cannot think of very many other styles I really like his chances against.

But Ruiz always walks straight in. He'll walk into a right hand or left hook sooner or later & punching is the best thing shannon did. He won't have to work to create openings or work to do anything...this guy will always be coming straight in.

Briggs knocks that joke spark out. Agree with the above post, you need evasion and footwork to beat Briggs, Ruiz would definitely walk on to something eventually....
