So will Ruiz retire now that he is 38 and stopped for the second time is his career? If not where does he go from here? Maybe fight the winner of Botha-Holyfield for the WBF title?

I don't think there is anything meaningful left for him to accomplish. He could fight Holyfield/Botha winner, but that would be second tier and hollow, even if he won.

Unless he can cut down to Cruiser and make some noise, I don't see why he would stick around.

Where does Ruiz go from here? Hopefully retirement. He's disgraced boxing long enough with his illegal excessive holding and faking low blows.

Hell no. Ruiz will get another crack at the WBA title here in less than a year. It's the circle of WBA life. All Ruiz has to do is win or lose his next fight or two and he will become the mandatory challenger.
