I love The Gorilla, long time unabashed very vocal fan. He had a good career, got done wrong way too many times, and I wish his last match had a different outcome, he was clearly bordering on shot, but like most fighters, couldn't resist tempting fate one more time. But at least he didn't go out as shamefully as Miguel Cotto. So happy retirement John! One of the true good guys in the sport. He's getting out at the right time and made some nice cash along the way.

I had it 116-112 Ryder, as did @f1ght3rz While @Wizbit1013 @exocet76 had it 115-113 Ryder. @Serge said it was really close, and hard to score, but leaned Ryder.

@drenlou and @PinoyProdigy had it 115-113 Jacobs. As did @Fogger @David B @lobk @FrankinDallas @timeout @Chuck Norris @sasto

@jaytxxl and @Ducklerr said 7-5 either way. @theanatolian had it 7-5 Jacobs, but said either way was fine. @Braindamage @Glassbrain and @gollumsluvslave had it a draw.

@The Professor had one of the wildest card he's ever had with 117-111 Jacobs. @Olu G. Rotimi @MidniteProwler @lufcrazy and @DramaShow had it 116-112 Jacobs.

There was roughly 20 pages or so of people bitching about Ryder's win, crying robbery, to which I replied.

The 11th they were split 14/11, with 12/11 in power punches. While the 4th, officially Jacobs outlanded him by a large margin, but they were weak shots, mostly deflected, while I thought Ryder's punches were more telling, and he was the aggressor throughout.

I may have disagreed with the decision but at least we never had to watch late career Danny Jacobs again so the greater good was served.
