I don't think it will be worth holding your breath on a decent opponent for Eubank either.

Think he will be fighting nobodies for a while.

With all due respect for those nobodies as well sorry. I'm 100% sure they are 100% tougher than me.

What has Eubank Jr done to deserve a title eliminator? Seriously...

John The Gorilla Ryder will win a hard fought decision against Chris Just like his dad Eubanks jr.

I wouldn't see EH putting JR with Eubank unless its for the full title

Blackwell is currently in the mandatory position. Ryder is next after that.

also as a side note, Blackwell has just signed with Mick Hennessy. also, Eubank Jr pulled out of a final eliminator with Blackwell which is why Blackwell is now mandatory. and I heard he priced himself out of the Kerry hope fight, also offered the fight to spike osullivsn knowing full well he aready had a date to fight someone else and he turned down Jez Wilson for a fight last weekend. so that says it all. hes not ready. end of

Agree, obviously his handlers don't feel he's ready.

I know full well you have to hype fighters to increase there 'media presence', fan base etc etc but how much hype does the Eubank name actually need? If he's not ready to be fighting Blackwell, Ryder etc then don't be mentioning him in the same breath as GGG and Mayweather.

He's only been a pro for 2 and a half years so I see the reasoning that they don't need to rush with him, but some of these comparisons are ridiculous.

That said though, Eubank Sr isn't daft. People might laugh like **** at what he's saying about his son, but it's still getting people talking... as the saying goes bad publicity is still good publicity.

Glad to hear of Blackwell. Hopefully he can be a lot more active from now on. Hope he gets some structure to progress him. Up to now he has been fighting one complete nobody after the other, then suddenly making huge step ups against big time opposition. He is better than his record would suggest IMO. But inactivity will ruin him. He needs to be fighting every few months at least.

Also Eubank sr would not say those things unless he honestly thought jr was the truth. No way a proud man like that would let his son humiliate him.
