Bringing up an emotional response isn't getting emotional, learn the difference. But, since you're not properly filled in, this is what I'm referring to. Now, could she be lying? Maybe. But why would she? It's not like she's being overly vitriolic here, just telling her side of the story.

Also, it's not like PBC and every other promotional organization doesn't bury key parts of a fighter's story, kind of like how they and HBO both hid what subhuman vermin Adonis Stevenson was for years, and what exactly he went to prison for.

As far as the Kovalev crack goes, yeah.. the man is a drunk, and he's impulsive, and I'm not a fan of his actions that night. However, there doesn't seem to be a pattern of behavior like that from him, maybe it was the alcohol talking. But if what his ex says about Caleb is true, that shows a pattern and it's just ****ing scuzzy of him to exploit a personal tragedy to fuel a narrative and his popularity.

An emotional response over a person that will be Canelo food and beating Plant will not change that
It must have also been the alcohol talking when Kovalev kissed a random women on a plane before throwing money at her and getting kicked off the flight

Really? Personally, I think someone being an enforcer for a sex slave ring is pretty pertinent information, that should be known by all. Wouldn't you want to know if the fighter you admired was a murderer or a pedo? Morally, some people might have issues supporting boxers with truly vile pasts.

Stevenson is the scum of the ****ing earth. In case anyone is unaware, this is what he was in jail for.

Yes, most likely. Drunks tend to be very uninhibited, and have very bad judgement. He clearly went through a very bad spell. Hopefully he's finally gotten his issues under control. But, if he hasn't and goes back to this kind of behavior again, the hell with him.

A nice mix of styles but I'd say Plant. Pressure fighting from Ryder could lead to problems though, but I see Plant counter punching and being too slick for him.

Plant wins. Ryder is a decent, solid fighter but Plant is one of the best boxer and movers at 168 and that’s what Ryder will struggle with.

By who though? Nerds on the web. It certainly wasn't known by any of the casuals watching HBO and Showtime broadcasts featuring his matches. Maybe they'd have like to know that info before giving those particular broadcasts ratings.

Well thise same nerds compose most of the tv ratings anyway.
The broadcasts did touch on the subjects a few times but it was mostly a how he changed storyline.
Realistically there is no tv time for any kind of detailed debate on this on a boxing broadcast.

They certainly never pass up an opportunity to give us long drawn out 10 minute human interest fluff pieces hyping the fighters though do they?

But 10 minutes isnt much to debate or present much is it?

They never when into graphic detail about anything he was accused of, especially when he was on Showtime and HBO broadcasts. When a fighter on a show has been convicted and imprisoned for deplorable actions, that should be front and center when it comes to highlighting that fighter. Especially in a time where people are getting cancelled left and right for their opinions, to ignore genuinely ****ed up ****, is kind of repellent.
