John Simpson vs British and Irish Super Bantamweights

I know John has mentioned in the past he would be willing to move down to super bantamweight and in another thread i saw Billy Nelson saying he had contacted Willie Casey's people about a fight.

So i wondered about how he would get on with the top super bantams in Britain and Ireland,

Rendall Munroe: maybe the only super bantam that would be similar in size to John, they would both look to be the boss in the ring and try to force the other one on the back foot. these two are very similar and think it would all depend who managed to force there will on the other, i'd go for a close points win to Munroe.

Scott Quigg: this would be a great tear up, with a high punch output, Quigg would run Simpson close but John's experience at the moment would see him through. points win

Jason Booth: i can only see one way this fight would go and it would be a stoppage for Simpson, i like Booth's style but i feel the size and freshness of John would be too much at this stage of Jason's career and he would be stopped in the mid to late rounds.

Jamie Arthur: has looked ok in his last few fights but i don't see him living with Simpsons size and pressure,can be quite frail at times and cuts very easy. a stoppage in the middle rounds for John Simpson.

Kris Hughes: a tall southpaw from Scotland Kris's challenge for the commonwealth title against Jamie Arthur didn't go well and i feel that Simpson would work him out early and stop him in around 5 rounds, Kris just wouldn't be strong enough to hold John off. he maybe not at the top of the super bantams but it has appeal to the Scottish fans.imo

Carl Frampton: this would be a candidate for fight of the year imo, Frampton comes to fight and Simpson does't have a reverse gear. Frampton seems tipped by most for great things but i'd like to see how he would get to grips with someone who was a big featherweight. but imo John has too much experience at the minute for Carl and would outpoint him in a close quarter brawl.

Willie Casey: was great in prizefighter but was badly exposed by Guillermo Rigondeaux, but the Cuban could be world class. a fight with Simpson would again be exciting but i feel once again the experience of Simpson would be too much for Casey and i don't think Casey could ko John. so John with a late stoppage.

as i have run through the names i seem to think that there would be some really good fights for John Simpson at super bantam if he could really make it and he has a real chance of beating every one of them, even though i think Munroe would beat him it could really go either way between the 2.

There could be a few good Saturday Fight Nights involving these boxers.

he certainly seems to be, but he has to prove it against the best at the weight not against Casey
