I thought John Thain looked class tonight. I know him and know how hard he works day in day out in the gym. He's a superb boxer and a pure gentleman. I know he's working on his power. Once he matures and develops the strength to go with his superb boxing ability he could go far. More power to him.:good
Met him once a couple years back and agree he is one of the nicest people i've spoke to, true gentleman. i hope he goes far, good head on his shoulders
A few people on here have said he's a nice bloke, after seeing his post-fight interview you can understand why.
i was very impressed with johnny tonight thought his counter punching was very good and he picked his punches very well . considering he has only had 5 fights he deffinetly is one for the future
the laddie looked better as the fight went on, & im liking the half scots half fillipino angle, kinda exotic for a scots fighter:good
i though thian did a decent job last night again vs a live journeyman. his variation of punches was excellent especially the left to the body , moved around the ring well too. certainly one to watch and certainly has a lot of time to develop please dont rush this kid
Getting to see the likes of him and Simmons so early in their careers is why I'm loving boxnation. Great for the sport.
Was really impressed and with his background it gives the media a nice angle which helps if you are trying to make a name for yourself. He seemed a really nice lad as well as did Ricky Burns who I thought came accross really well.
John and his family are really nice people . I feel John has all the ability and desire to go far my only concern is his punching power . he has all the right credentials apart from power but moves and boxes great I seen John man and boy and always won on pts . I remember when he fought his first final in the scottish and in my opinion was robbed andthe following year went on and won his first title at light weight and I was with the Gilmerton club in London when he fought and beat Frank Bughlioni and gave him 8lbs in weight and got a standing ovation from the london public that night including Frank Bruno
