Mugabi was an extremely limited fighter who has some power. that's about it. He would be a top ten guy, but not a champion unless you count the IBU or UBF or ABC...LOL

In 1986, Uganda's Mugabi was 26-0, 26KOs and trained by Mickey Duff at the time he was overwhelmed at 160 pounds and from midfight till the end stretch by Marvin Hagler. Can we say that that was Hagler's most difficult fight at middleweight? It clearly wasn't taking account of the rugged affair, battle of attrition with former Champion Vito Antuofermo which resulted in a draw and the long Exchange of shots at midrange with Roberto Duran, it was not a breathtaking fast paced brawl like the one with Tommy Hearns and it wasn't the stalking effort taking popshots and blasts all night long which resulted in many rounds stolen and a fight lost to Sugar Ray Leonard in 1987, not to mention Roldan, not to mention Hamcho. At light middle, Terry Norris made short work of Mugabi so at what, at which other division would this strong man arise as a top star? I can't see it...
