In his last bout the 24 year old Thompson scored three knockdowns en route to an eight round unanimous decision over previously undefeated Geovanny Rodriguez (8-0) on May 10th in a bout that was televised on SHO BOX from Miami, Oklahoma. Quarles of Alexandria, Virginia has a record of 10-1-1 with three knockouts. Quarles won his first nine bouts before a draw with veteran John Mackey. Quarles appeared on SHO BOX and lost a very competitive eight round unanimous decision to undefeated DaQuann Arnett. In his last bout, Quarles scored a 2nd round stoppage over Jimmy LeBlanc on August 10th in Washington, D.C.
