Johns has been a Champ for so long do to selective match making, look at his resume and tell me beside JMM with other name he has fought outside Indonesia? He has fougt Rojas twice (he was koed by Gamboa) one technical draw and a 12ty round dec. both fight in Indonesia, the fight against Marquez was in Indonesia too, he was deducted a few points for low blows, and Rocky here in USA, a draw an a 12th round dec. and was almost ko in the last round, to tell you the truth the more I lokk at this fight the less chance I'm giving to John.
the first fight with rocky wasnt even close to a draw .. only in texas could this fight had been given a drawn outcome though i cant see chris keeping gamboa off him would be a great fight though and i couldnt count out the dragon out boxing and stopping gamboa himself
John is pretty well worn, so, I'm thinking Gamboa. I wouldn't hazard a guess at how it would look or whether it would go the distance or not though.
exactly, only in Texas, imagine Indonesia with his lone Champ, I don't think CJ has enough power to ko Gamboa, I don't count him out but gamboa should win this one.
The only time Rocky really caught John in 24 rounds was when the champ, knowing he's well ahead, went toe to toe with Juarez for an entertaining finish, I believe that was when he had the Gatti trunks on and risked a little to much for Arturo's memory. John is a smart fighter, that he'll never do with Gamboa, he'll use his superb boxing abilities all 12 rounds and Gamboa hasn't convinced me he can perform on that level yet. I'd take John by UD at this point, in fact it'd be a genuine betting man's fight as I'd expect Yuri to be the favorite, so crazy odds on Chris by decision.
