I rarely post anything negative about fighters personally, but you know what, screw John Ruiz and his complaining. He's never lost a fight he didn't ***** about and dispute, and he's never, ever given an opponent credit after a fight. You can harp on his style all you want, but the real reason to dislike him is that he's annoying as all hell with his babyfied attitude. The quietman should shut up already and take his losses like a man. Accoring to Team Ruiz, throughout the fight Valuev's cornermen received judges' scoring results as the rounds went on. Other allegations include 1) Judge Takeshi Shimakawa improperly kept a running score during the fight, which is prohibited by the WBA, 2) Ruiz was not credited with a knockdown in the second round (which was ruled a slip), 3) Judge Antonio Requena scored two rounds even, despite WBA instructions that there should be no even rounds scored in championship bouts. Team Ruiz is also demanding a full videotape of Valuev-Ruiz II to further review for evidence of alleged corrupt practices. "The WBA needs to resolve this matter as quickly as possible," Ruiz said. "Non-officials are not allowed to handle or read scorecards during the fight. Valuev should be stripped and a rematch ordered."[/FONT]
I just hope this stuff is bull**** but nothing would surpise me, Ruiz is unpromoterable in USA, people are put to sleep by him.
We need to have a Tua vs. Ruiz Match to settle the score! Seriously, somebody needs to knock Ruiz out and retire him. Maybe David Haye should fight Ruiz..... Then he could protest: 1. He didn't know that Haye was a former Cruiserweight, therefore the fight is invalid. 2. It turns out one of the rounds was only 2:59.48 seconds long. Ruiz would have knocked out his opponent in the cut-off portion of the round, therefore that round is invalid and the match should be declared NC. 3. When the ref made him touch gloves it was against his will and deep personal beliefs. His opponent had some sort of paralytic substance that he put on his gloves. Therefore, Ruiz should be awarded the interim, linear Heavyweight title! Come on Ruiz, nobody cares anymore!
