He wrote a letter requesting them to DQ Green.

    Part of the letter:

"The wraps "contain an adhesive (polyamide substrate with latex coating) that allows the wrapping to be stretched and secured tightly with a hardening effect (similar to an ACE bandage) in a way that is substantially different from the effect obtained by using traditional soft surgical-type gauze bandages."

A copy of the letter, dated Tuesday, was sent to The Times by Jones' marketing agent, Mercedes Ganon.

Wirt noted that objections to Green's wraps were denied on fight night, and that Jones was told to fight or be disqualified. Green proceeded to stun Jones and then called out the man Jones was supposed to fight next, Bernard Hopkins, in a long-awaited rematch that has since been canceled.

Wirt argued that his company's subsequent inspection of the tape used to secure the bandages showed it was twice the width allowed, and he added that he will take his complaint with the evidence and a photo of Green and the tape to International Boxing Organization President Ed Levine to seek an investigative hearing.
Wirt said a review "leads us to only one conclusion: not only was Mr. Green's hand wrapping clearly in violation of the New South Wales boxing regulations on numerous counts as described ... but also the combination of those violations resulted in a very dangerous weapon ... all boxing hand wrapping regulations are designed to prohibit." Wirt requested an independent probe and hearing in an effort to disqualify Green.

Found it on the scene of boxing...

You guys would have seen the shots of Danny in his dressing room before the fight. There was what looked to be white gauze along with the brownish tape on his hands. Its the same kind of brown tape that he wraps the laces of his gloves with on the outside. I have only ever seen Aussie fighters wrap their hands this way. Every other country just seems to have white all over their hands.

Anyone shed some light on this brown tape?

Saw this on the general forum.

I've lost all respect I ever had for RJJ with this latest crap.

The guy needs to accept that he is no longer what he once was, and retire before he gets badly damaged.

First it was stopped too soon, then it was an illegal punch, then it was being forced to use used gloves, now it's accusations of loaded gloves.

He should be dealt with swiftly as it is a a big call to accuse someone of using loaded gloves.

I suspect he's trying anything to keep his name in the news because he's terrified of becoming irrelevant in light of a Green vs Hopkins fight looking very likely.

It's a ***** move, whatever his reason for doing it.

I want an answer to my question. Look at that second pic. I have only every seen tape like that used on Aussie fighters. I want to know what it is and if its legal. And why only Aussie fighters? I mean that **** on Dannys hands is the same **** on his gloves look at the pics.

Those should work. As i said look at the tape to tape the gloves and the tape of his hands. The same ? And is there anything even wrong with that brown tape on your hands? As mentioned i have only ever seen Aussie fighters use that tape on their hands.

nothing wrong with it whatsoever, it is standard wrapping tape to secure gauze etc underneath, same tape as footballers use for ankles etc.
go away roy, you will get even further embarrassed if you don't!

There is next to none on the knuckle......surely if you were claiming loaded gloves you would expect to see intentional and deliberate taping of the knuckles.
If this is the evidence than it is truly desperate of Roy, bad sportsmanship.

Sorry Daz, am unable to comment on this situation! The letter has been received by the CSA NSW and the IBO. It will be dealt with I guess by the CSA, as handwraps are the jurisdiction of the local state authority. Have a great Crimbo all, Ash dorry I didn't get back to your PM's - I am now in Foster, Vic and I don't have regular internet, I got them on my phone but it would not let me post a reply? I'll talk to you soon on the old dog...

I think we are all just clutching at straws and as phil said its up to people in higher places than us.
If anything does become of it and a rematch is ordered i will put $1000 down that it will be nothing like the 1st fight.
Roy may still lose because he is past it,but not that badly.

I know you cant say much but could you confirm if there is even a slight or remote chance the fight gets overturned as in turned into a NC or a rematch be ordered? Or in your opinion is Jones clutching at straws.
