This is interesting, banks fights on wlads undercard at heavy. he is fighting a no one that barely has a pulse so it will probably be an early stoppage victory, but with his size he is 6'3 and with his frame i could see him at a nice 225 lbs. could you see him making some waves at heavy or just get k.o.ed first time he steps up in comp at that weightclass?
Unless his chin improves with not having to make 200 I don't see him going terribly far. Never know though.
Well he didn't look drained or anything at Cruiser so I see no need for him to move up. He landed some good shots on that rock hard chin of Adamek but as soon as Adamek came back to the body and that good right Banks was DONE. That was a bad KO. Can't see moving to heavy would help. Perhaps he is relying on them all being fat shits?
He needs to stay at 200 pounds. It is not unusual for guys to fight a weight division up in a comeback fight like this and frankly I would not put too much weight into him fighting at heavyweight.
It could be a test the waters fight at hw or maybe he thinks that his whiskers will hold better at a higher weight. i could reasonably see him filling out and being a better h.w. than cruiser with his frame. id love to see him in a rematch with ademek up at heavy. getting hit with the shot he got from tomasz i wasnt suprized he went out most people would except mccall you could hit him in the jaw with a 2x4 and he wouldnt move just stare back at you
He just got knocked out by a robotic , puffed up light heavyweight white boy (as Hopkins would say). What makes anyone think he'd have a chance against Wlad?
The problem with Banks' chin is that he's not in near as good of condition as he should be,and that was becoming clear in his last few fights at Cruiser. I'm a little concerned about how he's going to address that with no weight limit to adhere to at HW, and how prepared he's going to be in this bounceback fight.
Strange move Banks looked in good shape at cruiser. Still think he would be able to pick a title up at it. Don't think he will do much at heavy to be honest
Banks is probably just using this as a comeback fight, he should stay at Cruiserweight and see if he can win a World Title there.
Looks can be deceiving- his conditioning was mediocre at best at Cruiserweight. If he didn't want to dedicate himself to conditioning there, I'll be shocked if he does at Heavyweight.
Is he definately moving up? Maybe he's gonna be fighting just above 200, like 205 or something, and just can't be bothered to shift the last 5lbs.
