It seemed to me that as soon as Manny left ringside Banks lost interest. He is decent enough but I doubt he will make it onto any p4p lists anytime soon.
Steward is overrated and anyone of his fighters other than Hearns isn't about anything - especially if he brought them up from the ground up.
One of the greatest trainers in history ... my ass ... he hasn't had a fighter of recent note that he's brought up that hasn't already had experience outside of working with him.
Banks is definitely an underdog against Alexeev. Poor training camp or not, he showed a lot of flaws, stamina above all.
i have seen banks before , and unfortunately he never improves.. He was terrible and had no stamina.. I thought he had lost on points..
Im not convinced in Gamboa or Khan, but Alekseev looks like the real deal. If Banks performs like he did yesterday, he is in big trouble. Alekseev easy !
For all the hype the American cruiserweights received lately, it seems that they're almost as bad off as the American heavies.
Alexeev will ruin him if he doesn't improve significantly in a number of ways. He may get a **** image if his camp doesn't take the fight, but I wouldn't take it now. You've got to give Banks another lower level southpaw first to see if he's actually learned anything from the fight yesterday.
