    19-0 Kronk Gym fighter Johnathon Banks takes on Vincenzo Rossitto for the vacant IBO Cruiser title.

    The winner (if it's Banks) will get a titleshot against Alexeev for the vacant WBO Cruiserweight title.

    Banks and Alexeev are 2 of the most promising fighters at the weight. IMO, Alexeev will come out of this with a world title. :happy

    Both Alexeev and Banks deserve a title shot. I'd expect Enzo Mac to get a shot at the winner.

    ... And the new era in CW will be started by Alexeev. He is the future dominator of cruiserweight, IMO he'll be better than Haye is/was in Cruiser.

    Banks should stop Rossitto. I haven't seen Alexeev, but he's certainly hyped on the Euro board as a future star. Should be interesting.

    Even at this early stage of his career I'd pick Alexeev by stopage over the vast majority of cruiserweights out there. If i were manny steward or enzo calzaghe i wouldn't let Banks or maccarlnelli anywhere near this kid.

    Banks should be able to stop Rossitto who has lost all his big fights in his pro career so far,but Alexeev is a totally different pair of shoes.
    Banks doesnt play in Alexeev's league and as soon as the got a taste of Alexeev 's firepower he will switch into suvival mode running like the second comming of Sven Ottke.Of course I am exaggerating. Banks wont be running.Thats why he wont go the full route with Alexeev. Not only has Alexeev the upper hand in firepower he is the more experienced fighter as well.Banks will have to nail his true colous to the mast in his upcomming fight against Alexeev.
    Alexeev was Solis' great rival at the amateurs. He brutally knocked Belarussian silver medalist Viktor Zuev out. Zuev knocked down and kicked out Devin Vargas on his way to win silver at the olympics.He is a hot favourite to win gold at the upcomming games in China.
    Banks? A young talent who will have to fight against all the odds in his encounter with Alexeev. I for my part wouldnt bet a single coin on Banks against Alexeev.

    Good insight as usual, Odo. I hope Alexeev works out, it would be excellent for the division to have a great fighter to add to the mix of already top talent. He has good future opponents in Cunningham, Adamek, Braithwaite, Arslan, Mormeck, Macca, etc.

    I very much hope so ,too!

    At present the cruiser weight division is one of the hottest ones out there.Lots of good experienced fighters there,lots of rising and promising talents as well.

    Middle weight? Supermiddle? Heavy weight? Just a handful of interesting fighters in each weight division.
    Cruiser weight is by far one of the most interesting weight divisions at present.

    Kraj, Godfrey, Wlodarczyk, Adamek, Arslan, Macca, Cunningham, Alexeev, Mormeck, Bell, Huck, BJ Flores, Tokarev, Kolodziej, Man to many to name. I love this divison!

    BTW Kraj vs Fragmetti is for the WBC title, and Diablo Wlodarczyk will fight the winner of them two!

    Gonna be nice seeing two Polaks with future title shots!

    Young guns like Janik and Frenkel will soon makesome noise,too.
    Dont forget Drozd who has the tools to upset quite a lot of ranked cruiser weights!
    And there are so many good and decent b level fighter at cruiser weight like Ding,Lubos Suda,Fragomeni,Brudov,and so on!
