Ive heard that Jonathan Slowey is going to Bangkok in the next few weeks to spar Padjai Yonguthgym who is fighting for WBA Reguler Featherweight title soon.Slowey is trained by Paul Weir

Hes also lined up Poonsawat Kratingsaengym who KO'd Bernard Dunne Great experience for the young fighter !

Sorta work is essential to a young fighters development.

Heard a lot of good things about him, he beat a lad from our gym in the final of the Scotttish. My coach really thinks highly of him.

    Good learning for him.

Certainly gives him a heads up on a somewhat awkward style.

Great experience for him, although I think there are plenty local guys who would give him a great spar, but all the same a great trip

Don't know much about the lad, but can only wish him the best of look and he's taking the necessary steps to improve as a young fighter, great to see.

There are lots of good smaller lads in scotland, SR Russell, Badger Hughes, and a great wee fighter Ricky Wright who is a great prospect, to name a few. Also lots of high quality AM guys, go to the Barn in Coatbridge and they are handy young fresh fighters. Just a thought, but it is impressive he is going abroad for sparring.

Heard a lot about Ricky Wright but not so much over the last couple years, any idea why it didn't work for him with the GB squad?

This would be a great addition to the bill. Seen them fight each other as amateurs not a couple of times.

Let's hope he does both, aforementioned it's hard to replicate what these Thai's bring to the table so it'll be good for him.
