only knew of him, wow a shame this will effect a few people badly...

I remember Mike DeLisa at the CBZ referring to Johnny Bos a lot. God Bless & Recieve his Soul!

We struck up a friendship that included getting a proper headstone for Kid Norfolk.
    RIP Johnny!

Bos seemed to love the limelight. They didnt want him in boxing anymore because of how he was. He looked after the fighter before the promoter. He should have been hired by one of the main promoters as a matchmaker but he didnt like to play by their rules. He was very depressed the last few years. He would post some pretty sad stuff on Facebook about how depressed he was. I felt bad for the guy, kind of reminded me of a fighter falling from grace that couldnt really handle it. He had congestive heart failure and was supposed to die a long time ago, but he outlived the doctors predictions.

I used to hang out with him and Flash Gordon and the boxing elite, trainers, old Freddie Brown, Eddie Cool, Russel Peltz, etc. outside the Garden before all the fights in NY and everyone would shoot the ****. Boz was wild and you could see him smoking a joint from time to time but I only really knew him from outside the MSG. Flash was the boxing expert and his papers were very informative but there was quite a rich crowd of smart boxing people those days.

Speaking of Flash-where the hell did he go or is he 6 feet under, compliments of a big time promoter?
Flash would have a field day today with the champions we are stuck with!
