Nice matchup. I'd probably favour Brown, he was more consistent, but on his best night I think Bratton could outbox him and win a 15 rounder on points.

I might go into the matchup in more detail later on, but right now I just want to say what a tough S.O.B Bratton was. His first encounter with Kid Gavilan he got absolutely HAMMERED in the first round, I mean hammered worse than Ike Quartey got hammered in the 12th round against DLH , and probably sustained a broken jaw right there and then (he claimed his jaw was broken at some point during the first third of the fight). But he hung on miraculously and fought it out for 15, even managing to win some rounds along the way. Not only did he manage to do that, he actually even had the audacity to mock Kid Gavilan with his bolo punch action and slug it out toe to toe with him for portions of the fight.

Just thought it showed great spirit, and great guile. He would have been justified in giving up after the first round, but he hung tough and gave a good account of himself. Champion for that. :happy
