Who wins at featherweight ? I know Jofre was primarily a bantamweight but he did have good wins over Legra and Saldivar at 126.

You'd have to lean towards Jofre although Fammo's movement and cautious style would make it close and I doubt a stoppage is on the cards despite Jofre's power and finishing skills.

The Saldivar that shaded Famechon (a very close thing imo) and the one destroyed by Jofre isn't really a very good reference point as he'd badly slipped in the 3 years between fights just as Fammo's wins against a slightly past it Harada don't count against Jofre because he lost a couple of close ones to an absolute peak Harada.

Still I'll go for Jofre by narrow UD or even SD 15.

Jofre decks johnny about 3 times enroute to a clear 15 round decision.

Eder would pressure Famechon all night.....like Harada did....Harada was better offensively, but slightly better....I can see the right hand of Eder being as accurate as Harada, with better reach, that would be bad news for Famechon.....

Fammo was a fine fighter..he went down a few times as a pro but to his credit, no one ever was able to keep him down..I give him credit for putting the kibosh on the great Harada in their rematch...but there's no way he would have cut it against prime Harada..and he definitely was trounced in that first match. Jofre as I've already posted, would win a 15 rounder without much trouble. those 3 or 4 kds would rack the points total up pretty high IMO.

We shouldn't forget Jofre's troubles in his prime with Herman Marques, a boxer type that was leading Jofre on the cards after 10 rounds before Jofre caught up with him.

Johnny struggled with Harada, Saldivar and Legra largely due to their hand speed imo. Against a more measured fighter like Jofre, I think Famechon will find it easier to predict and avoid a lot more punches than he could with the others.

That said, I think that Jofre will eventually find Johnny over 15, and will score some knockdowns late in the fight which might just swing things his way.

In no way will this be a one sided fight. No way. I give Famechon a good chance of winning, but I'd make Jofre a slight favourite.
