Beautiful to watch at his best.

 

His only real weakness was his under-use of the right hand. It hardly ever left his chin.

Otherwise he had a really good package: good jab, solid infighting ability, world class stamina, very good defense and movement all round.

His chin wasn't great, but it was by no means a liability.

 

Absoloutly sublime boxer, could watch him all day.

His movement and jab is only second to pep in the Featherweight division.

 

How do you think Fammo would go against someone like Arguello GPater?

I've always thought due to his defensive mind set,great jab and footwork he might give someone like Alexis some big problems.Remembering Arguello didn't bring the type of all out attack like Harada did that would upset a stylist like Fammo.

Of course Arguello rates much higher at 126 and would be heavily favoured and deservedly so but I wouldn't completely discount a Famechon upset either :think

 

That is a toughie.

Obviously Famechon was a great mover and defensivly minded, and some say it troubled Arguello. It never, it was how his opponent applied it, if you 'ran' away your not going to be effective. I think Famechon's lateral moveemnt and sharp left hand work should allow him to make Arguello miss and pay. Thing is Arguello would come on late and up the ante and maybe draw Famechon into a fight, and definitly has the power to stop Famechon, but I dont think he would. I'd have to say a Famechon decision.

I'll think on it some more though.
