I keep seeing this Dave Allen comparison and think it's pretty disrespectful for a couple of reasons. Firstly Dave Allen is and was a total moron. Fisher is not. Secondly Fisher trains properly. Allen did not.
I only meant it in the sense that he will probably occupy the role Allen occupied for a few years. A guy of limited talent but who has a bit of name value domestically so ends up being a staple undercard attraction. Obviously hes a very different kind of fighter to Allen.
Maybe, but the Makhmudov fight would be a good comeback fight for Hrgovic and an opportunity for Makhmudov. A perfect crossroads fight to see which one can go and try to be a contender again. Fisher is just too inexperienced and green. I don´t think he should fight either man.
Massive skill and talent gap here. If you are Fisher you give it 3-4 years before fighting Hrgovic after he has become a journeyman and has accumulated multiple losses. You don’t fight him now as it would be a mismatch. Even if Hrgovic spent his training camp in the bar as he did for the Dubois fight. He would still stop Fisher with ease.
David Adeleye would be the perfect next fight for Fisher and id slightly fancy Fisher as he's actually more of a correct puncher as opposed to a brawler. After that I reckon the loser of the Clarke Wardley rematch and then maybe a tilt at the British HW title. If he gets through that domestic level minefield I could actually see him going places but, ITS A BIG IF!
Not disagreeing with this. Out of interest, how far do you think Fisher will go? Chisora level at best?
