Mad thing is that Dave Allen hasn't fought anyone top tier really. Whyte was returning from a shoulder injury after Joshua obliterated him. The Cuban grandad was decent enough but not ever really that great and after that you're looking at guys like Lenroy Thomas being a real problem for him. The life and death brawl with the flabby Argentinian was funny but the writing was on the wall by then but they keep trying to paint over it only for the likes of Price and Clarke to remind everyone of what Allen is.

I just don't like all the BS, anyone with some boxing knowledge can see through this Allen rubbish, it's nonsense. The chin isn't even that amazing, if he'd fought Wilder, Zhang, the old Joyce, prime Joshua, pretty much any version of Fury, Usyk and this version of Dubios he'd have been dropped and stopped and carried out on a stretcher again. Ruiz jnr would KO and murder Allen.

This is brilliant. That clown Nick Peet claiming he always said Allen was too soon for Fisher yet a tweet popped up from before the first fight with him saying it was a mismatch in Fisher’s favour and Allen should be retired.

It's pathetic. He could so easily make a very credible - and factual - argument along the lines of:

    - Dave Allen surprised me first time around and exposed Fisher. I was wrong about him.
    - After seeing that, the immediate re-match was obviously too risky.
    - Matchroom and his management should never have let him take it.

Instead he says something that can be disproved with a few seconds of searching. Clearly just jumping on the bandwagon and parroting the current "acceptable" view.

It's OK to be wrong about boxing, we all read things wrongly. What's not OK is being a media figure who doesn't accept mistakes when made.
