At 116, I would imagine both would be close to death. At 126 however I take Fenech. Too tough, too powerful for Tapia.

Did Fenech ever fight that low?

Fenech peaked at 122 and above.

    I'll take Tapia

I'd have to watch a bit more of Tapia to be fair. He would have a big edge in experience as Fenech was pretty fresh when he fought at 118. He did beat a couple of decent fighters there tho.

Clear decision win for Tapia...there would he times when the high energy Tapia would box circles around Fenech.

Abrasive as usual..but I agree. Tapia had real issues with the volume and swarming tactics of Paulie Ayala. Add is the strength and mauling tactics of Fenech and its a tough fight for Tapia.

Fenech and Tapia were two of my favorite action fighters just pure warriors.

I can see this fight going non stop and like the legend of the Walker/Greb street fight it would continue.

These were two guys cut from the same cloth.

Tapia showed longevity where Fenech burned out but these guys at their peak fighting days were forces of nature

Fenech had the most insane work rate of any fighter I have ever seen much like Henry Armstrong must have been like without brutal power but tons of strength.

Tapia was just a warrior plain and simple a throw back fight to the death type.

I have Fenech by decision his work rate is better but this is a war for the ages.

The intense pressure of Fenech would bring the frenetic best out of Tapia...this would be a real war....a fascinating contest.
