Its Tapia's birthday this week and I've been watching some of his fights. Great little fighter! :bbb

How does he rank in the lower weights? He made it to like 46-0 at one stage before the Ayala loss, which could have gone either way.

How would he have done vs say Jeff Fenech?

    :hi:

Underrated performer. Despite his insane lifestyle he managed to be "on" more nights than not. Excellent skilled boxer with real fighting heart.

I think he would out skill AND outfight Fenech, who I feel is a tad overrated.

He couldn't outfight Paulie Ayala on the inside at Bantam, Seamus.Fenech might be overrated, but he'd be too big and rough for Tapia, unless it was maybe the very early Fenech of the Shingaki fights.

Talented guy, good for the sport a little obnoxious but had the heart of a champion and some very fast hands. I thought he defeated Ayala I have to rewatch that fight.
