But Inoue gets to end Rigogoblins career. Yeah though. I agree would suck if this ruined that fight - although there's already strong vibes about it being doomed as it is.

Positive is if Casimero wins there will be even more demand for the Inoue fight. And as stated above Rigo winning isn't the worst thing either as a fight with Inoue would be quite good.

    Could be Rigos last hurrah.

40 years old. If he loses here, its career over.

Rigo is high risk. Unless he's really THAT shot i can see him beating casimero. Take that from a casimero fanboy

Actually excited for this fight and hoping for a good scrap or at least a good performance from both Rigo and Casimero. Casimero has shown to have no fear of anyone and is willing to fight the best. I think at this point I see Casimero pulling this one off, but can't count out Rigo.

I am somewhat confident that no one will beat Rigo at 118.
Unless age finally catches up with him.

Favoring Rigo here, but if he is slipping, Casimero will catch him.

I don't think that Casimero, who picked Micah, will fight Rigondeaux.
The risk is too high in front of the fight against Inoue.

Casimero is an honest fighter. What you see is what he is. He's honest, brave and he is always willing to win. His boxing is powerful, beautiful boxing. But transparent and honest boxing too.

That's not a good thing if you are going to fight rigondeaux. I mean, that's never a good thing, but it's even worse if you are going to fight the likes of rigondeaux.

The good news for casimero? rigo is 40. Now or never dude.

My opinion, man, dont F up when you are about to fight inoue. A fight vs rigo is always dangerous. What the F were you thinking about, jon riel?

I'm a HUGE casimero fan, btw. Since he was robbed vs ruen roeng. This guy, fighting like he does, being robbed like that. I watched the fight and I became insta-fan. And every fight I watch of him, I'm more and more glad of having become a fan.

I'm not sure that it will play out as you suggest. But I definitely feel it's a stronger possibility than most others seem to recognize.

I'd prefer Inoue-Casimero in the spring. Then the winner (or indeed, even the loser) can test his luck with Rigondeaux afterwards.

Rigo has a legit chance here against Casimero.

Incidentally, I stand corrected. Seems a lot more people in here believe Rigo does have a real chance, more than I suspected would be the case.

I am being somewhat hyperbolic, especially with the link above this post. Casimero can box smart and carefully pick his shots like he did with Tete, he doesn't always go all out like a whirling dervish like he did against Micah. And he'll know it's in his best interest to fight responsibly against Rigo. That being said, I still don't see a path to victory for Casimero. Quite frankly, I think Ceja beats him, and Solis would give him hell. People need to cool it with Johnriel, I really like him, and have for years. But I picked him to beat Tete for a reason, Tete's power was overrated, he's too cautious, and his chin is atrocious, he was a KO waiting to happen for years and Casimero I saw had the best tools to accomplish that feat. Inoue and Donaire did as well, they just didn't get to him in time.

The good news for Casimero is that Rigo is 40 and seems to be more vulnerable in his last few fights. Casimero would have youth and power on his side. I think people might be underestimating Casimero a bit as he is deceptively skilled and a sneaky puncher. He’s a dangerous fighter for anyone, that includes Rigo and Inoue. We’ll see if that’s the case against Rigo. One things for sure: Casimero will fight anyone, any time and anywhere no matter the risk.

Rigo decision I hope. In his (professional) prime, he was phenomenal, he would box the ears of Casiemero. 2020 Rigo, I can't give him this one with Casiemero's power, mid-rounds TKO for me. I'm quite indifferent to Casiemero, even if I still laugh when I think about him beating up another Matchroom favourite in Charlie Edwards. Still a cool fight, great title defence for Casiemero and great opportunity for Rigo to get a belt for that massive Inoue fight.

Rigondeaux hasn't been in any wars. And his stinky style is good for longevity and he doesn't blow up in weight. We won't be seeing a Rigondeaux too far off from a prime version against Inoue or Casimero.

Casimero will look amateurish when he lunges and misses and Rigo will look old and out of it when he misses opportunities. Basically, both will look bad whoever wins.
