I just don't understand how anyone can watch the Dawson Johnson fight then conclude that Dawson is the next coming of christ.
Johnson is 39 years old and had Dawson on ***** st and going life and death.:patsch

Dawson ducked the Glen Johnson rematch because he knew he lost to Glen and chose to fight Tarver instead and now we have a Tarver Dawson rematch :patsch

I scored the fight 7-5. However, I gave the 11th to Johnson. Chad won most of that round but was stunned near the end. That round could've arguably gone to Dawson. Let's not forget that all 3 judges scored it 116-112. Press row scoring all had it for Dawson as well.

I can tell you it would have been a Calzaghe UD as there's no way Johnson has the power to Ko Calzaghe and we have all seen Calzaghes chin tested and recovery proven to be very good.

Dawson was never on ***** street. He was stunned once or twice, but was never on ***** street. The Tarver/ Dawson rematch is not official. And the only reason it would happen is because Tarver had a rematch clause.

most likely but jonhnson is a tuff fighter. having said that, just because dawson struggled with jonhson dosent he cant beat calzaghe, besides what other young fighter would you want calzaghe to fight.

I'm sorry, but if you're clearly landing more clean punches, than you win the round. I know many on here don't realize that these fights are scored on a round by round basis and that clean effective punching makes up the biggest part of the scoring. However, that is in fact how these fights are scored. I don't know how you can call someone a nuthugger for scoring that fight for Dawson when all 3 judges, all or press row, and one of the announcers also scored it for Dawson. The other announcer I believe scored it a draw. The biggest group of people that scored it for Johnson are from the U.K and are probably Calzaghe supporters.

Come on, man; you know better than that! Dawson was definitely on ***** street; he was out on his feet! Ten more seconds in the round and Johnson would have had him out!

So, Dawson is fighting Tarver because of a contract? How many contracts has Dawson disregarded?? He's never cared for his promisses or for contracts, so why should he care now? He could always pay Tarver off and carry on with his career, but most likely, he likes the idea of a rematch against shot Tarver just fine...

    What?:yikes :yikes :yikes

Since when is pro boxing scored according to amateur scoring rules? I never got the memo!

Rounds are scored on effective punching, not on who lands more clean punches. If you hurt the other guy with one big punch and he doesn't hurt you with 10 powderpuffs, you win the round! This is the hurt and don't get hurt business; it's not the powderpuff and don't get powderpuffed business!:hi:

People exaggerate these type of things all the time. I know what I saw and I know what I'm talking about. Chad was not on ***** street, he was not out on his feet.

Dawson has already spoke out and said he doesn't want to fight Tarver again. None of you have any idea of what the reprcussions of Dawson breaching the contract. This is typical of people on this site, they lay all of this criticism without knowing all of the facts. You are a Diaconu supporter, and you are completely biased against Dawson. Therefore, I'm not suprised you would say something like this. The Dawson/Tarver is not set . If they can get out of the rematch, they will.

Dawson was not hurt in 7 or 8 rounds. In reality, there was about 2 rounds where he was clearly hurt. So what happens when neither fighter is visibly hurt? That's right, the fighter who was landing the cleaner punches wins the round. Hell, Margo was never visibly hurt in any round against Cotto. Cotto took more punishment in ever round except round 1. What would you say if someone told you that Cotto only won 1 round in that fight?

Great point. Decebal is completely biased against Dawson. I really don't take his posts concerning Dawson that seriously.
