And coming from a different angle, the reason combat sports now has weigh ins 24 hours prior to the fight is to prevent guys going in the ring severley dehydrated. So if Johnson does make the weight he is endangering himself. If he doesn't make the weight then he has an unfair advantage. I think the rules need to be changed so that you have to be within a certain amount of the scheduled weight. 12lbs is ****ing ridiculous.

Belfort is ready to fight in Brazil. I think he will be more motivated for this fight than any other in his career. Johnson could come in 220 and Belfort would have agreed to fight him this weekend.

 

Johnson's carrying an injury and never said anything. There's no way a guy moves up from 170 and then misses his new weight by 12lbs. That said he's obviously a light heavyweight. The biggest problem is Rumble cannot be no more than 205 tonight. If he's over the fight is cancelled and so is his job. He'd have little chance to rehydrate properly and replenish.
