After fights, what does happen to the gloves?? If Cloud has em how would they know they're getting the same glove used in the fight? Is there a way to tell and make sure?

The bad part is they where changed after the Comish and GJ camp had looked at them. If all true the Cloud and his camp are in big trouble...but with DK on his side.....hmmm

The way you can tell you're getting the correct gloves is by taking them immediately after the fight. Before they leave for the dressing room and such.

I don't know if that was how they did it. I'm just saying that's a way to make sure.

EDIT: just read the link, so it isn't what they did(obviously). I don't know how they'll be able to tell if it's the gloves he wore on Saturday.

They way many Comish do it..the gloves are checked..then when put on the hands of the fighter and OKed from the other camp..they put an X or some kind of marking on the tap around the wrist.

We don't know they were loaded, but if they weren't the commission approved gloves he needs to lose some time. Too late to find out if they were loaded. I can't believe the commission let him go on with unchecked gloves. The state commission needs to be involved.

If *******s believe that itchy socks and giving blood make a difference, then Glen Johnson must have a legitimate argument! Personally I believe that they're both full of crap.

At first when I read this I was like let it go Glenn you better than this. But, if its true I wouldn't want to be Cloud. A rematch either way is no problem with me.

Thanks and from what *********** posting when I did a search they already confiscated the gloves just doesn't report if was right after the fight. http://www.***********.com/?m=show&id=29914 They claim Leon Margules ok'ed it. Though Margules denies it.

Glad they have the gloves. Probably/hopefully nothing other than they weren't the ones agreed too. Boxing doesn't need another scandal.

I agree that there needs to be an investigation. But comparisons to Margo aren't warranted as of yet.

Agreed from what pics I have seen they was still Everlast gloves but I didn't see no X mark on the wrist tape. I only seen the right glove with AC on it.

I'll wait until the Ring or Yahoo! mentions this.

I don't think the nature of the fight has much to do with the broader importance of the claim that the gloves were not the ones agreed to or checked off by the commission, if it is indeed true. Win, lose, draw, robbery, shutout- this kind of thing can't happen in boxing and if the color and model were noticeably different than the ones expected by Johnson's camp and approved by the commission, then by all means make noise about it.
