    Round Eight
    Johnson hooked a hard right to the stomach and then sent Flynn to the floor by sheer weight of his body. The crowd Jeered the colored man for fully a minute. In a mix at close quarters Johnson swung right and left to the Jaw. Flynn. Just before the bell rung, swung a vicious right to the stomach and Johnson winced. The round, however, was even.

    Round Nine

    They clinched and were separated by the referee. Flynn wrestled Johnson almost through the ropes and the referee had to pull the men apart again. Flynn fought with his head bent almost to Johnsons loins and the latter found it difficult to reach the fireman's face.

    Clinch followed clinch and Johnson swung right and left to the head. Johnson Jarred Flynn with another right swing and they clinched. Flynn slipped to his knees twice from clumsy attempts to land on the negro, and when the bell rang Johnson ripped In a short-arm right to the stomach, Flynn being almost out at the call of the gong.

    Round Ten

    Flynn rushed in, but Johnson sent him away with a succession of right and left short-arm swings to the face. Flynn In a clinch butted Johnson viciously with his head and was warned by the referee. Johnson then cut loose with two powerful rights to the Jaw and Flynn stalled to protect himself. Johnson fought carefully and coolly. He sent Flynn's head wobbling from side to side with short-arm rights and left swings, and then swung a vicious right to the jaw. He followed it with a left swing to the face and the bell found the men In a clinch. "You are an awful tough ******," shouted Flynn as he went to his seat. Johnson's round by a wide margin.

    Round Eleven

    "Come right on," yelled Johnson as they toed the scratch. Flynn's left eye by this time was swollen to five times its normal size. He worked to close quarters and tried to reach Johnson's body, but the latter floored him with a straight right to the jaw. Johnson sent Flynn to the floor with a straight right to the Jaw. Flynn went to the mat like a log and had to be carried off by his seconds.
