I called it....Johnson came out and did exactly what I knew he would do, and thats hand Chad "The China-Chinned, furcoat wearing ******" Dawson a beatdown..thats what he did and got robbed....****ing disgrace.... I had it 116-112 for Johnson and thats being conservative Well Huki your fighter got the decision and I will honour our 1 month avatar bet.....even though you know he lost:yep I'm not that upset however as Adrian Diaconu will get to smash Dawson to bits in a few months....we'll bet on that one too:yep
Change the thread title. Last night was a GREAT night of boxing. Johnsons loss left a bad taste in my mouth and i feel very sorry for the guy. Johnson is a true warrior and has been around the block many a time but he always seems to be on the end of a bad decision. The bright side is Dawson in my opinion has been exposed and badly.
Yeah that was ****in horse ****. I didn;t see the whole fight but I saw the first 7 rounds and Johnson was kicking the ****ing out of him at that point. BS!
I like dawson in all but i just dont see how he won the fight (i think i scored it 7-5 glen). On the flip side though dawson had to gain alot of experience in this one fight and hopefully it will transform dawson into an even better fighter, who will not resemble jermaine taylor, who is still a very good fighter in his own right but seemed to regress after the bhop fight. Chad has nothing to be ashamed of, as glen johnson is tough as nails, has a chin like a brick wall, and has fought and even beat some of the elites at this weight. I wish people would atleast give chad some respect for even taking this fight, because tarver, jones, and even calzaghe (the fight was scheduled but cancelled, however calzaghe did not seem all too interested in renegotiating) did not seem too intrigued to fight the guy. Do i think those guys were ducking? No, but my point is chad took on a fight fans wanted to see and alot of boxers elite boxers at 175 did not want take. I call that guts Isn't that what boxing is about? (decision aside for a minute) As for glen johnson talk about bad luck for what seems to be a real nice guy, who is willing to fight anyone under any circumstances. This fight made me respect him more as a boxer and is a perfect example of don't judge a book by its cover (referring to his record). Its just sad that bad decisions (atleast in my opinion), will most likley result into the guy not getting into the HOF or the respect he truley deserves (you can see by his words and reaction after the fight that this is probably his last opportunity at a title). If this happens and he is forgotten, he has my vote as one of the top 3 most underrated fighters in the history of boxing (and that is saying alot) thank you glen you are a true road warrior.
Chad Dawson won this fight because when they both weren't throwing punches he was jabbing...end of story
i thought Dawson won the fight.More active and seemingly landed more punches although i hav'nt seen the stats.Johnson's as tough as old boots with his strengh and pressure making a competitive fight but the quality work come from Dawson.
