Johnson v Burns, lost footage, out soon on YouTube.

Mr. Larry Foley boxed both Tommy Burns & Jack Johnson as they came through Australia. During the exhibition with Burns he repeatedly jabbed Burns in the face puffed it up and drawing the ire of Burns. Larry didn't think much of Burns skill level.

 

The dude must be a time traveler from our time cos no one today thinks much of burns skill level either

I’m currently reading Unforgivable Blackness by Geoffrey C Ward. I can’t recommend it highly enough. I’ve had it for years and hadn’t gotten around to it. Kicking myself now, it’s superb.

 

I read it a good few years ago and agree, excellent book.

 

I reread that book numerous times. I really liked it. The companion documentary (two parts) by Ken Burns is excellent, as well.
