That fight showed a ton about both guys .. even at 37, inactivite and clearly not in top condition Jack Johnson gave the best filmed display of his offensive skill set that we have. An exceptional jab. Blazing fast combination punching as "athletic" and "modern" as any we see today. Terrific stamina, a huge heart and a very solid ability to take punishment. It dispels so many of the myths nurtured by Johnson haters. It's right on film to see. Willard was far better than the 37 year old, inactive fighter we see slaughtered in Toldeo. He is a near physical Adonis. His stamina and strength exceptional. His punches straight, measured and with decent speed. His ability to take a shot terrific. He fights patient and clever. This was a man who if trained properly from a younger age had the talent and skills to be a far better fighter. Another terrific gift from D. Brown.
