Prior to the KO the judges had Green ahead. If I remember correctly I might have given him 1 or 2 rounds. Your thoughts.
I think I had it about level at the time of the stoppage. It was a pretty even fight before the stoppage but it always felt like Glen Johnson was gonna take over and win. As it happened Green just folded as soon as Johnson put any real pressure on him.
Green was hanging on in there and winning some rounds while never really looking at home. You kind of knew it was only a matter of time till Glenn broke him. Especially after i think round 4 right at the end where he shook him badly. He never got his legs back and looked disheartened. Glenn found a home for that lead right all night and it brought him the win. Green just never really did anything that would disheartened or gain Glenn's respect. As Tarver said if a man's weakened himself to make a weight that's lower then his normal weight you invest to the body. Green never did. I personally had it close with Johnson just edging into the lead if i remember correctly.
One of those fights were Glen won rounds convincingly where as Green nicked his. Thankfully the old man didn't make the cards an issue.
Green picked up a couple of nice paydays for being exposed as incredibly ordinary. Not a bad exchange.:good
