You Canadians said there was a purse bid today in Januray 7, between Dawson and Diaconu now you say it's next week? Make up your minds, it's either that or you're lying. I don't know what's going on with Diaconu but he can't stay inactive forever, he at least needs to stay busy. I heard Diaconu could be in the undercard of the Dawson-Johnson matchup if a Tarver vs Lacy fight doesn't pull through. (which is highly likely)

 

The purse bid was reschedule to next monday (jan 14th). Same time as another WBC purse bid. Cant remember which one tho.

So despite what every major boxing site says, and despite what everybody is thinking, the Dawson-Johnson isn't official? If what the site say's is true, than that's a good thing because we get to see Dawson fight earlier then April 12. :-D But you would think Glen Johnson would know something about this. :huh

Dawson better make quick (or easy) business of Johnson if he wants to be considered elite. I am not underrating Johnson, i hold him in high regard but at this point in his career he is 39 years old and his record reads 47-11-2.

Diaconu lost his shot when he got injured thats tough luck for him. Dawson doesn't have time to waste waiting around for a 2nd tier fighter even if its his mandatory. Hopefully Diaconu will eventually get his shot but in the meantime you can't expect Dawson to stay inactive just cause his mandatory hurt his hand.

He is a paper champ. Probably the best of the all the titleholders at 175, but he didn't beat the recognised number 1 in the division in Tarver. (or had Bhop beat him before dawson beat Adamek?) Either way he beat a paper champ and has not unified and so he himself is a paper champ.

 

A paper champ is someone who got their title without beating a beltholder. Adamek was a beltholder, Dawson beat him; therfore he's not a paper champ
