Johnson Willard: Dive or KO

He put up a better show at 37 .
Than Jeffries did against him at 34.
That is a fact.

Sad, jeffries was retired for 6 years and a new huge obese country boy and still wasn't KO'd unlike Johnson V Willard and Jeffery Michaelstein when he fought Brad Woods

 

I'm convinced Willard's win was legitimate. Most, who have lost by knockout, were not actually completely unconscious. I've seen most of the fight. No way was that a dive by Johnson. He probably needed the $250 badly at the time. Johnson was one of the all-time greats.

 

Didn't Johnson stop running his mouth about a fix when he learned that films of the fight were being widely circulated?

 

According to many youtube comments, evidence is not needed. One i remember stated Johnsons word is enough because "everyone else was racist" and "why would johnson lie" Jesus christ....

 

I'm surprised they don't claim to be descendants of Johnson and have some super secret insider knowledge on the event. I know I've ran into Gentleman Jim's entire family tree on YouTube, including his 36 great grandchildren.

 

Willard won a legitimate victory.

 

Johnson admitted to Nat Fleischer his dive story was a hoax. Willlard’s win was legit. Johnson’s greatest wins were against considerably smaller men.

How any of these make sense I'll never know...
