Fought last night and won at his hometown.He was really fun to watch,one of my favorites with carisma and talent. A shame how drugs ****ed up his life and i'm afraid he isnt gonna have a happy end. He looks very old on his pictures from last night.
What a shame. I think Yori Boy Campas fought last week also. Its bad enough working until your 60 let alone fight at that age and still not retire properly. Good to see guys like Camacho, Barrera, JMM, Raul Marquez having a boxing after life.
camacho is as ****ed up as tapia,even older...he was arrested a while ago for breaking into a store to steal some electronics i believe.
Tapia was one of the most interesting and entertaining fighters of this generation. I'd rather see him fight till hes 50 if it means that it will keep him focused and doing something positive and ultimately clean. When he wasnt boxing, he was filling that emptiness with drugs. He is one fighter I dont mind seeing fight well into his 40s if he so chooses.
