Dumbass weighing in closer to the lightweight limit and he's barely been at 130 for a significant stretch. This is either laziness or his body just can't shed weight like it used to. Either way he's screwed up the one chance he had for a solid run with a belt around his waist. I prefer Rakhimov anyhow so I hope he gets the win badly here.

Still sticking with my JoJo pick but it is stupid that he came in over weight.

 

he has been talking a lot past this fight on all the DAZN shows. He might very well be overlooking this guy

 

Ivan Redkach seems to always be sparring champions from all manners of weight class, I respect his work ethic. Especially in comparison to the shoddy looking physique of his taco munching partner there.

 

What a joke. How can you be the featherweight champ and look like a middleweight journeymen.

 

I've been following Diaz his entire career and I'm very disappointed.

He can still redeem himself, but not tonight.

That's a hell of a lot to miss weight by, what do we think - undertrained ? Or massive miscalculation? If it's the latter , someone's head will roll

Seems like he ballooned up in weight after the Farmer fight(1 year ago, mind you) and then left the weight cut till the last minute.
At this point, JoJo should be fully aware of how much weight he can cut. If he cuts about 15 lbs, then that means that by certain time in camp, he has to be about 145lbs. My money is that he was above that and thus this massive mishap.

 

Pretty disgraceful when a pro athlete misses his contracted weight.

matter of fact just look at what happened to David Benevidez.

he lost his belt on the scale, & now Canelo, Charlo, & even Caleb freaking plant get a free excuse pass & are allowed to swerve him as he no longer holds a belt.

these dudes messing up their own careers.

 

That's a tough one. I felt the same way until recently. I saw a piece on Real Sports that examined what fighters go through to cut weight. Guys go through agonizing pain. Brought Chris Cyborg to crying and writhing in pain.
