OPs video: [YT]iOfDNzfNm44[/YT] The original unedited video, which gives context to what Roach was saying. He was telling a story of what not to say around minorities. He recounts a time that Greg Haugen said something to Roger Mayweather and then Mayweather beat him unconscious in sparring and spit on him. [yt]8uH7R5mh494[/yt] Also, the unedited second video where Rios camp assaults Freddie Roach and makes fun of his Parkinsons. [yt]OcyID3x3wOg[/yt] Whoever falls for that stuff about Roach being a racist is an idiot.
Roberto GarcĂa Cortez (born January 29, 1975) is a retired Mexican-American professional boxer in the Lightweight division. Mexican is disparaging now?
Surely the pacfans will point out that they are pacfans and the video is of a crack addict talkin about freddie roach. Or the pacfans may say who gives a fukk? And if its racist to call a mexican a mexican then the world really is going to shiit.
Don't know if Roach is really racist or not. Perhaps he is, and if so, it's a shame. He certainly has no business using the 'N-word.' But I kind of take some of his antics to be Clint Eastwood esque in the film "Grand Turismo." I don't really detect any malicious intent; more like a playful antagonism coming from a politically incorrect old-timer. Considering the plethora of people from the wide ranges of different cultures and backgrounds that he has immersed himself around, I doubt that he is racist. Just my opinion.
So, slave masters had several slaves on the plantation. The klan had blacks working for them. So, there goes that boxing gym theory. He definitely had no business using the n word.
Donald Sterling of the Clippers ... the guy wasn't racist he had an asian girlfriend, black players, black GM ... you know most about a person when they are angry, their inner self comes out like that ESPN girl
I don't think that Roach is a racist but he is and always come up as an azzhole. It's hilarious to see Floyd Sr. as the voice of reason in this video haha.
I said the exact same thing on a thread at 6 this morning and of course the thread was deleted and the thread starter was banned. As will this thread very soon.
My understanding is that Sterling was exploiting an underclass through his business dealings that primarily consisted of varying cultures and ethnic backgrounds for years. It's more than just words with him. He was and perhaps still is literally shaping a racial divide. I understand your point but unless Roach is charging certain groups of people higher gym rates or somehow has policies in him gym that apply differently to certain groups of people, it's really an unfair comparison to make between him and Sterling.
Nothing wrong with Roach. He just talking smack cause he thinks he's the shiiit. He tries to come off like he is the boss of bosses and Garcia wasn't having none of that. As for the other statement, you have to consider the source, he was just rambling and if anybody took offense to that then they are giving away too much power.
Calling someone a jew and mexican when they are a jew and mexican is racist? And the "N" word is thrown about like it's nothing nowadays by blacks everywhere yet when a white man says it blacks get all upset and ****! If you don't like it don't use it yourselves then in the first place.
