Round 1

Fernández is scoring jabs, doubling up to chin and underarm. Podolsky is rattling in overhand rights from the outside and pulling out to dodge counter 1-2s. Podolsky is eating straight flash combos on the face as Fernández slices in on him with quick footwork. Double jab on the brow from Fernández. Podolsky misses a wide left hook and eats a big counter 1-2 for his troubles.

Round 2

Fernández is landing jabs at will on Podolsky, who is just a beat slower and getting hit 3:1 every time he leads. Fernández is hooking the body and getting off short 1-2s through Podolsky's gloves when the Russian breaks guard to start a never-begun abortive combo. Podolsky is throwing wide hooks with both hands on a prayer and grazing but getting pureed with counters.

Round 3

Fernández is jumping on Podolsky early, taking advantage of a couple of missed wide hooks and pummeling him into the ropes with sharp combos. Podolsky lands a big looping right that slows Fernández's momentum. Warning from the ref for using the forearms - actually point taken from Podolsky. Fernández is snapping a hard jab on the outside. Fernández melts away from a Podolsky combination surging forward and darts in to land a jab. BIG line drive right hand by Podolsky. Fernández rolls with it and shakes it off, then resumes jabbing. Podolsky is hopping in and out now, arms down, baiting. Podolsky eats a couple of jabs and then flips up a few of his own. Body 1-2 by Fernández. Double jab reaching in pawed by Podolsky. Fernández alights a few feet behind his original position and then plants his feet and leans in to land a jab on the jaw. Podolsky is held at bay with sharp jabs but sells out and falls in to land a looping right on the body. Hard 1-2 at mid-range by Fernández. Podolsky loads up on a big can-opener right and misses as Fernández ducks and thrusts a right hand straight into Podolsky's lower abdomen.

This is tremendous stuff. Podolsky is very good; Fernández is just better.
