Agreed, time will tell, but he has that kind of power, hand speed and technique that only elite boxers have. His precision and punching power reminds me of Mikey García

Was it strange to anybody else that Podolsky, who is billed as more of a technician and has a low percentage of knockouts heading in, was reduced to basically throwing hail-Mary overhands and gunning for a desperate KO after the first couple of rounds? You could tell from early on that he could box well but he threw all of that out the window and deteriorated into a rabid caveman. Also, not calling him a dirty fighter but there were increasingly more low blows and other signs of frustration near the end. Goes to show how Jonfer is able to get into his opponents' heads very effectively. Master of the cerebral part of the game as much as the in-ring mechanics. I'm so excited about this kid. He might even end up having a better career than his mentor SGM.

Fernández is now ranked #16 by the WBC @ SFW. (rising 14 spots from #30 as of the August rankings. The new September edition will be officially published in the next week but his new ranking was announced yesterday at the org's 55th annual convention in Bakú, Azerbaiján, which Jonfer attended)
