Jon Jones: A boxing match between me and Mayweather would be pretty competitive

I think Jon Jones is showing the people the difference between the sports. He's kind of acknowledging that he himself (All 6'4 of him") would be competitive with Mayweather.

Unless I missed the part where he said, "P4P, any weight or height"

Jon Jones has good MMA striking, which with his sheer height and length advantage can make a smaller fighter at a disadvantage.

To me, Jon Jones is acknowledging boxing and Mayweather skills. He's not acting like he's a bad ass.

    He's a pretty humble fighter.

Huh? So you're saying in an mma fight Floyd(147) beats Jones(200) and does it with a one punch knockout? I must be reading that wrong. Floyd is amazing but he is human.

I was wondering if it was taken out of context or something, because Jones seems like a decent sort.

I would think so, but I'm not 100% sure.

I think it has to be acknowledged that Jon Jones is talking about himself, the LHW Champion, in MMA. Who is 6'4 215lbs.... saying he'd be competitive with Mayweather. A 150lb boxer. Who is 5'8

I think people really took it out of context. Unless he's that stupid, but I dont think he is.

Nah what he does isn't fighting in it's purest. If he's talking "In a bar" then there is a lot of cool stuff you can do to somebody that they don't in the UFC. A lot. And without the aid of weapons too.

Also it's funny he mentions Mayweather. 150 lbs

Why not see how competitive you are with Wladimir there big boy??

    After reading the article again.

I'm 100% positive people took it out of context. He was giving Mayweather big props essentially on his striking skills.

The difference between Floyd and Bones Jones is Johnny is a full sized man! If they were in the pen and they fought one on one in a real fight.. Bones would beat that ass!!! Plain and simple
