Jon Jones has failed a drug test. It isn't the first one, there has been one in the past where his testosterone levels were messed up, but nothing followed. This time, they found he was using estrogen blockers. It's a typical post-cycle treatment. What's strange is he never looked like a steroid user. On the other hand, he was know for being very lazy and avoiding training sessions, so that explains his "natural" strenght and stamina. He has said that "he always used the same supplements for every fight", which means he pretty much admitted of being on it for all of his career. The funniest part is that he once hid under the ring for 12 hours when the anti doping agency showed up unexpectedly at his gym, waiting for them to go away. Good riddance. The man is a disgrace to humanity. On top of being on peds, he based most of his game on illegal tactics like eye-poking, said he celebrated after learning that one of his opponents reported a broken arm, did coke and ran over a pregnant woman, without stopping to help. Jon Jones is cancer. On the bright side, it's also a good news because it proves the anti-doping agencies are doing their work and keeping MMA clean. Jon Jones was a cash cow, to bust him means they value a clean sport more than raw moneys.
The sport has some issues when it comes to doping, looks like Zuffa did the right thing selling before its tainted even more.
piece of **** eye pokes, oblique kicks, 12 to 6 elbows DC and Gus would have wrecked this cheating **** if he dared to come in clean
Undoubtedly there is a huge problem. The greatest light heavyweight and middleweight have been busted for drugs. I don't get it when people say he doesn't 'look' like he was on steroids. People must understand that someone like Lesnar still has a similar build. Jones still has his skinny legs.
Actually Gustaffson already beat him, but was epically robbed This is Jones being hospitalized after the Gustaffson fight https://www.google.it/search?q=gust...fsson+vs+jones+hospital&imgrc=pZc_s-TqEwpsxM:
What i meant to say is that he didn't look impossibly jacked or ripped; but yes, he had an impressive body nonetheless and this comparison pic of before/after speaks a thousand words https://www.steroid.com/images/blog/1567/378_540.jpg
It just has better testing compared to other sports. If boxing took drug test seriously we would see the same thing with boxers.
The entire American hall of fame in mixed martial arts is replete with PED cheats, the only clean athletes on the planet are the Irish, Welsh and Peruvians.
I'm pretty sure one of those photos is an out of fight camp Jones vs Jones at the peak of a fight camp. In fight photos/weigh ins would be alot more accurate. Undoubtedly steroids will help in things like recovery time and the intensity you can work at. A by product of this tends to be a better physique BUT just like in bodybuilding your aesthetics are your aesthetics and if you aren't training muscles won't miraculously grow. The problem with steroids isn't so much the amazing body but the performance. Fighters like Silva and Jones are phenomenal athletes but now we'll never really know what was legit and what wasn't.
