http://steverattlesnake.cliquezone.com/2010/10/jon-jones-is-bored-of-fighting-wrestlers-in-the-ufc/ Im actually really sick of fighting this type of style, Matt Hamill, Matyushenko, Jake OBrien they all have that similar kind of style. Their main focus is that double leg dive and [they have] sub-par boxing. Im ready to fight some strikers, Im ready to fight some south paws, Im ready to really mix it up. Im trying to secure a respect level with my wrestling. Im sure Ryan Bader, the advantage hell have going in is to be the better wrestler and Im going to try and prove the UFC wrong again.
Jones vs Bader is a good fight. Baders risky with his strength and power. If Jones throws him around then lord have mercy.
I think they should rename the UFC Extreme Championship Wrestling and let Vince McMahon run it. Oh wait a minute...
I'm not going to lie I'm 100% on the Jon Jones bandwagon and I fully expect him to destroy Bader in the first round. Jones needs to be fighting top guys right now. Bader is a good test but it's going to take a top 5 fighter to beat Jones.
Or renamed it PRIDE FC, and let the Yakuza run it for a long and prosperous future. Oh wait a minute...
Bader is a step up for Jones but to me this fight doesn't make a great deal of sense. Having said that Jones shouldn't complain about fighting wrestlers because when he fought a stand up guy in Vera he just took him down and used ground and pound. Bader is the first wrestler that might actually be good enough to put Jones on his back which is different from the wrestlers who he has fought so far.
This kid needs to worry about the man hes fighting next and not what style he doesnt like or what he wants to go up agianst next. Bader is a wrestler by trade but he could very well send Jones head into the 12th row.
I too think that only the best could hang with Jones. Vera, Bonnar and Hamill are all around the top 10-15 mark and he's tore through them. 205 is so deep - Machida, Rampage, Evans, Shogun and you never know if Silva may step up, throw in Franklin and Griffin and Ortiz if he can get back to where he once was!
I really do think there's an exceptional amount of hype behind Jones and people should calm it down. He is in the Light Heavyweight division, you know. The top two dogs are Machida and Rua who are very complicated styles, and if he thinks he's bored of wrestlers, let's see how he handles Rashad taking him down every four seconds and if he can throw Rampage around like he does with his current competition. He hasn't even fought a real wrestler yet, boredom won't be the word to describe it if he doesn't keep his eye on the ball.
I like Bones. Good talent. Am i on his band wagon? No way. When he starts beating the BEST guys in his division il take note.
